Peloton Wins Major Awards at the
2011 SF Chronicle Wine Comp

January 15, 2011 - We are very pleased to announce that our full flight of wines have received high awards at the 2011 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. We entered a total of four wines in the comp that was judged in late December by a large panel of wine industry experts and received the following results:

  • 2007 Old Vine Zinfandel - GOLD
  • 2006 Diamond JEM Cabernet Sauvignon - SILVER
  • Criterium red blend - SILVER
  • 2007 Laetitia Syrah - BRONZE

The SF Chronicle Wine Comp is the largest competition of American wines with a record number of 5,050 wines being judged in this year's event, which boasts a panel of judges from across the country and includes experts in the media, restaurant and hospitality, education, winemaking and retail portions of the wine industry. Compared with last year's competition where we won a bronze medal for our 05 Cab Sauv, we are extremely pleased with the awards we received this year.

If you'd like to check out many of the award-winning wines, there is a public tasting at Fort Mason in San Francisco on Saturday, February 19, 2010. For more information on the event and awards, please visit the SF Chronicle Wine Comp website at www.winejudging.com.

The 2007 Zin and Syrah and the 06 Cab Sauv are curerntly available for purchase at our online wine shop at www.pelotonwineshop.com. The Criterium red blend will be available later this year.
