Where Great Stories Meet Great Wine

Beginning this season, we'll gather once a month to explore novels set among vineyards, Tuscan hillsides, Champagne cellars, and wine regions around the world. Each meeting features a curated Peloton Cellars pour that complements the book's setting, mood, or storyline.

What to expect:

A warm, welcoming space where readers and wine lovers come together for:

  • Monthly discussions of best selling wine-themed fiction

  • A featured Peloton Cellars wine pairing

  • Behind-the-scenes vineyard insights

  • Community, conversation, and a little escapism

Format:

  1. Members may purchase each month's book in their preferred format. For added convenience, Peloton Cellars will offer optional Book & Bottle Kits featuring the monthly book selection paired with curated wine. Prices will vary each month depending on book and wine selections.

  2. We will meet once a month on a Sunday evening. See 'Discussion Dates' below to plan ahead.

  3. We are planning to provide Google Meets links for out-of-area members to still participate.

  4. Each meeting will begin with a wine pouring and possible lite bites. Trish or a volunteer will guide us through 5-7 questions. The following month's Book and Kits will be revealed and available.

  5. Members will receive discounts and priority access to featured wine.

  6. Please feel free to forward to a friend.

September Book Selection

The Winemaker's Wife - Kristin Harmel

Champagne, 1940: Inès has just married Michel, the owner of storied champagne house Maison Chauveau, when the Germans invade. As the danger mounts, Michel turns his back on his marriage to begin hiding munitions for the Résistance. Inès fears they’ll be exposed, but for Céline, half-Jewish wife of Chauveau’s chef de cave, the risk is even greater—rumors abound of Jews being shipped east to an unspeakable fate.

When Céline recklessly follows her heart in one desperate bid for happiness, and Inès makes a dangerous mistake with a Nazi collaborator, they risk the lives of those they love—and the champagne house that ties them together.

New York, 2019: Liv Kent has just lost everything when her eccentric French grandmother shows up unannounced, insisting on a trip to France. But the older woman has an ulterior motive—and a tragic, decades-old story to share. When past and present finally collide, Liv finds herself on a road to salvation that leads right to the caves of the Maison Chauveau.
