The nose on this wine takes me right back to one of our first harvests. It was a warm October night and I raced home from my teaching job to meet up with Bill. We had to get to the ranch before we lost too much daylight. He parked the truck with its nose pointing down the long row of vines. Grabbing yellow picking bins and pruning shears we got to work each taking a side of the row. About an hour in we turned the high beams of the truck on to light the way and placed head lamps on our foreheads for what the car lights couldn’t reach. Our arms and hands quickly became a sticky mess and the sweet smell of vine ripe grapes and their stems were forever marked into my memory bank. I love this memory and I love that this wine brings back those special thoughts.

Ruby red in color and coats the glass a gorgeous fuchsia. Dark cherry, simple syrup, stem and vanilla on the nose. Moderate tannin, dried black cherry, light spice and a nice acidity on the palette. We love this wine for its color, its balance and its overall beauty.
